Welcome to Phuket Lovin – where we visit all the must-see spots in Phuket. Today, we bring you our in-depth review of a quaint cafe and homemade bakery in Phuket.
After a wonderful and refreshing experience at Raga, we couldn’t gatekeep the wonders of this cafe from our readers. If you’re ready to learn more about this classic Phuket bakery, keep reading for everything you need to know before taking a trip to Raga!
An Introduction to Raga
If you head to the South of Phuket, you’ll find Raga on Wiset Road, between Chalong and Rawai. It’s easy to find, and there is plenty of parking.
The street address is 5, 1 Wiset Rd, Rawai, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83130, Thailand (Google Maps link here).
Raga is a short drive from the beach and the perfect place to stop for coffee and food after a day in the sun. With picturesque surroundings and plentiful AC, it’s a calm paradise amid the bustle of Phuket life.
You’ll find Raga open from 08:00-18:00 every day.
Why We Love Raga
The atmosphere of Raga is an unexpected luxury. As you step off the main road and into the cafe grounds, it’s like entering a green and tropical paradise. The owners of Raga have carefully created their venue to blend with the existing nature; trees provide shaded areas, and flowing ponds teem with fish.
If you want to get out of the heat, don’t worry because this Phuket bakery caters to all needs. There are two floors and a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. As a team of digital nomads and travelers, we always love finding new spaces to chill out, chat, dine, and work. Raga undoubtedly ticks all those boxes.
Raga is a suitable venue for everyone (although it’s best for those that love coffee, croissants, and cake!). It’s family-friendly, with soft toys and fish food (20 baht) to keep little ones entertained.
Overall, we loved the venue’s versatility; it’s perfect for a quick coffee, a lunch, a working day, or a date.
Drinking and Dining at Raga
If you’re missing the bakery tastes of home, Raga is sure to satisfy your cravings. Select your favorites from various Western and Thai treats and dishes on the menu and enjoy. The food tasted fresh, high-quality, perfectly seasoned, and affordable.
We chose a variety of dishes to sample on our visit to Raga, and they did not disappoint:
- Raga Toast (95 baht)
- Fried Chicken and Rice (125 baht)
- Eggs Benedict Croissant (295 baht)
Alongside your food, you can choose from every possible type of coffee and juice that you’d expect from the best Phuket cafe and bakery.
Remote Working at Raga
If you’re a digital nomad looking for a new workspace to get inspired, this section is for you. Raga has two meeting rooms, whiteboards, a TV, WiFi, AC, and plug sockets. With two floors to choose from, you’ll always be able to find a corner to plug in and get productive!
The coffee is delicious, and the fruit juices will give you all the brain power you need to complete your projects.
Most customers at Raga are Thai locals; it’s a hidden gem many tourists fail to discover. As a digital nomad, you’ll know that these are the best types of cafes in Phuket to visit for productivity and minimal distractions.
Nightlife and Events at Raga
Raga is a cafe and bakery rather than an entertainment venue, so don’t go there expecting a party. However, if you’ve got an event (e.g., corporate or birthday), you can contact them in advance to discuss booking one of the upstairs rooms.
