OB.OON Cafe

November 26, 2024

Hello from Phuket Lovin, your local guide, helping you plan the perfect vacation. If you’re new here, we’re a team of local digital nomads and expats in Phuket.

With people in our team coming from the UK, USA, and Australia, we’re always looking for incredible Phuket venues to share with fellow travelers and vacationers. We’ll only ever share details of the best places in Phuket – if we wouldn’t eat there, we won’t recommend it!

Read on if you’re ready to expand your horizons in Phuket – it’s time to learn about OB.OON Cafe.

Welcome to OB.OON Cafe

OB.OON Cafe is in Rawai, on the way to the bay viewpoint. The full address is 88 11 Moo. 1 Wiset Rd, Rawai Muang  Phuket 83130 (Google Maps link here).

They’re open from 08:30 – 17:00 every day except Sunday.

Why We Love OB.OON Cafe

OB.OON Cafe is a modern delight, and the interior decoration looks like it’s come straight out of a magazine. Think, white walls with mixed wood patterns, tropical plants, and modern art on the walls. Then, add the sounds of chilled music and the smells of fresh coffee.

The Cafe is spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating, suitable for families and couples. When you enter the cafe, one of the first things you’ll notice is the cake and pastry cabinet – they make exquisite fresh desserts each day.

We loved the vibes in this cafe, and it’s an excellent place to catch up with friends and treat yourself to a sugar bonanza!

Drinking and Dining at OB.OON Cafe

OB.OON is one of the few Phuket cafes offering both fresh bakery products and cooked lunches. Both styles of food are delicious and reasonably priced. You can choose croissants, cakes, homemade bread, fruit shakes, coconut cakes, and more! They even make their homemade fermented flour without additives.

Before even sitting down, we knew the food would be great; most of the other customers looked like they knew the staff. They have a loyal customer base of expats and local Thai residents.

The menu is primarily Western and international food, but they also offer classic Thai dishes.

We treated ourselves to:

  • Lemon Grilled Chicken Salad (220 baht)
  • Chocolate Lava (195 baht)
  • Pink Power (120 baht)

We loved everything we ate and drank; the quality and presentation were perfect (take a look at our meal here!).

Remote Working at OB.OON Cafe

For remote workers, there is free WiFi and AC. However, there is limited seating, and there weren’t any armchairs, beanbags, or sofas. If we’re setting up to work all day in a venue, we prefer to choose somewhere with different seating options.

OB.OON would be totally suitable for sending a few emails over a morning coffee, but it’s not the best option if you’re looking for a remote worker’s paradise.
